PAST EVENT -Waste Warriors - Stockland, Green Hills Shopping Centre

We’re putting the Green in Green Hills these school holidays with an exciting environmental sustainability initiative, Waste Warriors managed by Hunter Events NSW.

Kids can come along from Monday to Wednesday each week to create their very own Waste Warrior puppet out of recycled materials. There’s loads of characters to create! Each Thursday, kids can then assist in building a set for the puppets, which culminates in a series of puppet shows on the Friday of each week that their very own puppet could be star in.

When: 9 to 20 July, Monday to Friday only

Time: 11am – 2pm each day

Where: Near Harris Scarfe, Ground Floor, Green Hills Stockland Shopping Centre

Cost: Free

Have you got what it takes to be a Waste Warrior?

There will also be a Promise Tree in-centre near Gloria Jeans on the Ground Floor from 9 to 20 July whereby you can make your very own personal pledge to activate a sustainable practice, for example, turning off lights, using less paper, or recycling .

Local schools are also showing their commitment to supporting the environment by building their very own Waste Warrior, displayed in centre from 9 to 23 July. You can vote on your favourite school’s Waste Warrior with the winning school being awarded a whopping $1,000 in school supplies of their choice.
